Fourth Grade "RAP SHOP" Explorers at Schilling School learned about song writing with me. They were feeling very silly and wanted to create a story that had a beginning, middle, end, ever growing crises, and finally a "surprise" happy ending. I am thrilled by their creative teamwork.
Panda's Problems
By Schilling Explorers 2009 & Kathleen Gibson
A panda lived in a forest of bamboo.
She felt sad 'cuz she lost a shoe.
Along came a toucan who knew what to do,
He pushed the panda in an icky pit of goo.
Panda, panda, will you find your shoe?
Panda, panda, what'cha gonna do?
Since she couldn't swim, she tried to jog.
But she got lost in the mountain fog.
Then the toucan pushed her a log,
They went down a waterfall, out of the bog.
Panda, panda, will you find your shoe?
Panda, panda, what'cha gonna do?
At the bottom, they met a magic fish
Who had the power to grant a wish.
Panda wished to go to Disney World for Minnie Mouse shoes.
The fish went splish and away they all flew.
Panda, panda, we're happy for you!
Panda, panda you've got new shoes!
